The first season of The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity ended last month, leaving fans both satisfied and eager for more. While many were expecting a Season 2 or sequel announcement after the finale, no official updates were shared. Still, there are plenty of reasons to believe that the story of Kaoruko and Rintarou might not be over just yet.

How Much of the Manga Did the Anime Adapt?

The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity anime is based on the romantic comedy manga by Saka Mikami. Season 1 adapted the story up to Chapter 40, covering the early stages of Itsuki’s and Rintarou’s growing bond. The manga, however, currently has over 160 chapters, meaning there’s more than enough source material for multiple future seasons.

If you want to continue the story right after the anime, you can start reading from Volume 6, Chapter 41.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Volume 6 Cover

Why Wasn’t Season 2 Announced Yet?

One possible reason The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Season 2 wasn’t announced could be related to its production studio, CloverWorks. The studio had a busy summer schedule, also handling major projects like My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 and Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus.

Interestingly, all three anime premiered and ended around the same time, but only Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus received a sequel announcement—a theatrical film titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend, officially set for 2026. And with CloverWorks currently working on Spy x Family Season 3, it’s clear they’ve had a lot on their plate, which might explain the delay in any new announcements.

Will The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Get a Season 2?

So, will The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity get a second season? The chances look promising. The anime was one of the highest-rated shows of the summer on MyAnimeList, ranking above popular titles like Kaiju No. 8, Gachikuta, and Summer Hikaru Died. With strong fan support and plenty of manga content left to adapt, a sequel feels highly likely.

Even better, a special event for The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity has been announced for November 1st, and events like these often bring major news. If a Season 2 announcement is coming, that’s the date to watch.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity Blooming Party Event Visual

For now, fans can only wait, but all signs point toward The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity returning in the near future.

The announcement was made during One Piece Day 2025, where Iñaki Godoy, who plays Monkey D. Luffy, made a special appearance. The trailer showcased exciting glimpses of the Grand Line, Giants, Miss Wednesday, Smoker, and Miss All Sunday, teasing some of the iconic moments from Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga that fans can expect in the upcoming season.

Season 1 of One Piece premiered globally on August 31, 2023, and quickly became a breakout success. The series dominated Netflix’s English-language TV rankings, garnering over 18.5 million views and 140.1 million hours streamed in its opening week. It held its top spot into the second week, making it one of the rare live-action anime adaptations to win over both critics and audiences alike.

The wait for Kagurabachi fans could be almost over. CyberAgent — the company behind Uma Musume: Pretty Derby and the upcoming The Summer Hikaru Died — has revealed in its latest investor materials that four confidential anime projects are planned for 2026 and beyond. While no titles were named, this news is reigniting hype for one of the most talked-about rumors in the industry.

Cyber Agent (Uma Musume, The Summer Hikaru Died) is listing 4 Confidential Anime Projects yet to be announced in 2026 and beyond!

Reminder that an earlier scoop by Toyo Keizai talked about a "Kagurabachi" in production at Cyber Agent's Animation Studio Cygames Pictures. Nothing… pic.twitter.com/QcxySh0j7U
— MangaReporter (Manga & Anime News) (@MangaReporter) August 8, 2025

Last year, Japanese business outlet Toyo Keizai reported that Kagurabachi, the breakout action-fantasy manga by Takeru Hokazono, was already in production at CyberAgent’s animation studio, Cygames Pictures. Since its Weekly Shonen Jump debut in 2023, the manga has exploded in global popularity, praised for its striking sword fights, stylish art, and revenge-fueled story.

It was also recently announced that Kagurabachi creator Takeru Hokazono will be a featured guest at Anime NYC 2025 and will headline his own panel on August 23. With all the rumors of an anime adaptation circulating over the past year, the Kagurabachi panel at Anime NYC could be the perfect opportunity to finally confirm the anime. While Anime NYC might seem like an unconventional venue for such an announcement, it has quickly become one of the largest anime conventions in the world. More importantly, Kagurabachi’s massive Western fanbase has played a huge role in its rise to fame, making an American reveal arguably even more fitting than a Japanese one.

https://twitter.com/animenyc/status/1948806078566728179?t=l0Xo2dUhCPnEHFmCNrGnKw&s=19

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but with CyberAgent’s four secret projects and Hokazono’s high-profile Anime NYC appearance, many fans believe an official Kagurabachi anime announcement could be coming sooner rather than later. If the rumors hold true, it would mark the series’ first screen adaptation — and given the manga’s momentum, it could easily become one of the most anticipated anime of the late 2020s.

The film has been dominating Japan’s box office, earning an impressive 17.63 billion yen (around 119.5 million USD) in its first 17 days, with over 12.55 million tickets sold.

The movie, running for 155 minutes (2 hours and 35 minutes), opened in the largest number of theaters in the franchise’s history.

Animated once again by ufotable, Infinity Castle Part 1 marks the beginning of a trilogy adapting the final battles of Koyoharu Gotoge’s original manga. The story dives straight into the climactic fight between the Water Hashira, Tanjiro, and Upper Rank Three Akaza inside Muzan Kibutsuji’s twisted fortress.

Following its massive domestic success, the film is slated for international release between August 14 and September 25, 2025. This global rollout mirrors the scale of its Japanese premiere, ensuring that fans worldwide can experience the spectacle on the big screen.

Koyoharu Gotoge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, concluding with 23 volumes. The anime adaptation began in 2019, followed by the record-breaking Mugen Train film in 2020. Seasons 2, 3, and 4 continued to build the hype, with Season 4 (May–June 2024) setting the stage for the Infinity Castle saga.

With its breathtaking animation, emotional storytelling, and fierce battles, Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza Returns is already proving to be one of the year’s biggest cinematic events.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle – Akaza’s Return has made a historic debut in Japanese theaters, delivering a record-breaking performance that surpasses all prior anime film releases, including the franchise’s own global phenomenon, Mugen Train.

Released on July 18, the film earned ¥3.8 billion (approximately $25 million USD) in just its first two days, outperforming the ¥2.97 billion opening of Mugen Train, which had previously set the benchmark for anime box office success. The first day alone brought in an estimated ¥1.7 billion, making it the fastest opening in Japanese cinema history.

The film marks the beginning of the climactic Infinity Castle trilogy, which will serve as the final arc of the Demon Slayer anime adaptation. Featuring Upper Moon 3, Akaza, in a central role, the story delves into one of the series’ most emotionally complex and action-heavy battles. The focus on Akaza has resonated deeply with fans, as the film explores themes of loss, rage, and redemption with cinematic intensity.

The success is not just measured in numbers. Early critical and fan responses highlight the film’s extraordinary production values. Studio Ufotable once again delivers breathtaking animation and masterful fight choreography, pushing the boundaries of what theatrical anime can achieve. Several theaters in Japan reported sold-out midnight screenings, with many describing the atmosphere as more akin to a blockbuster film premiere than a traditional anime release.

This domestic success arrives ahead of the film’s wider international rollout. Several Asian territories are set to receive the movie in August, with a global release scheduled for September. If current trends continue, Akaza’s Return could mirror or even surpass the worldwide performance of Mugen Train, which ultimately grossed over ¥40 billion (~$300 million USD), becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time.

What sets Infinity Castle apart is not only its commercial success but its role in concluding one of the most culturally significant anime franchises of the decade. The Demon Slayer series has consistently delivered high-impact storytelling, and this film continues that legacy with a refined balance of spectacle and emotional depth.

As anticipation builds for the second and third installments in the trilogy, Akaza’s Return sets a powerful precedent—both as a box office force and as a cinematic milestone in modern anime. Its rapid success reflects not only the enduring popularity of Demon Slayer but also the franchise’s ability to evolve and captivate audiences well beyond its original fanbase.

With more international premieres on the horizon, the global impact of Infinity Castle is only beginning to unfold.

The One Piece anime is officially on a one-week break, with Episode 1137 now scheduled to premiere on July 27. This temporary delay comes due to election coverage in Japan, giving fans a short pause just after one of the most emotionally devastating episodes in recent memory.

Last week’s broadcast of Episode 1136 marked the emotional conclusion of Bartholomew Kuma’s heartbreaking backstory. After weeks filled with sorrow, sacrifice, and shocking revelations, Kuma’s past has now been fully laid bare—and calling it anything less than heart-wrenching would be an understatement.

From the unimaginable suffering he endured to the impossible choices he was forced to make, Kuma’s journey stands as one of the most tragic in One Piece. Episode 1136 didn’t just end a flashback—it left viewers stunned. “For many, the weight of his story hit hard—leaving them quiet, emotional, and shaken as the final moments faded to silence and the credits rolled.

Although the anime is on pause this week, the preview for Episode 1137 has already been released. Titled “I’m Sorry, Dad – Bonney’s Tears and Kuma’s Fist,” the episode teases a major turning point: the moment when Kuma himself seemingly arrives on Egghead Island. You can check out the preview below.

This marks a dramatic return to the present timeline, and with tensions already peaking on Egghead, the stakes are about to skyrocket. The break may be frustrating, but it also gives fans a moment to breathe and reflect on the powerful storytelling we’ve just experienced—before the chaos resumes.

Toei Animation will not be airing a recap or special episode during the break—it’s a complete halt in the broadcast. And while the wait may be tough, especially with the Egghead arc heating up and the Straw Hats back in focus, the timing feels earned.

After everything we’ve seen Kuma endure, a brief delay gives everyone time to emotionally reset and brace for what comes next. Because once Episode 1137 airs on July 27, the story is set to accelerate at full force.

With Episode 1136 closing the curtain on Bartholomew Kuma’s tragic past, and the next explosive chapter waiting just ahead, One Piece takes a short but well-placed pause. It’s a rare moment of reflection—both for the characters and the audience. As we prepare to return to the present-day battle on Egghead Island, anticipation continues to mount. Episode 1137 premieres July 27—and all eyes will be on what happens next.

The beloved manga series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, will enter an indefinite hiatus following the release of Chapter 140 in the combined 4/5 issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine for 2025. This announcement was made on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

Since its debut in April 2020, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has captivated readers with its poignant storytelling and unique exploration of life, death, and legacy through the perspective of an elven mage who outlives her companions. The manga has been compiled into 13 tankōbon volumes, with the most recent volume released on April 17, 2024. Over the years, the series has gained significant popularity, boasting over 17 million copies in circulation—an increase of 7 million since the debut of its anime adaptation.

This isn’t the first time the series has faced a pause in serialization. In late November 2024, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End took a brief two-week break before resuming in the combined 2/3 issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday on December 11. Earlier in the year, the manga went on a longer hiatus beginning May 15, 2024, and returned on August 7, 2024.

Additionally, the manga faced a break in early 2023, going on hiatus in January and resuming serialization in March of the same year. Despite being serialized in a weekly magazine, the series has often followed a bi-weekly release schedule, likely to ensure the creators have sufficient time to maintain the high quality of the story and artwork.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has been lauded for its melancholic yet heartwarming approach to the fantasy genre. Its exploration of the quiet aftermath of heroic adventures, centered on the emotional journey of an immortal protagonist, has resonated deeply with readers around the globe.

While fans have become accustomed to occasional breaks in the series, the announcement of an indefinite hiatus has sparked concern and speculation about the reasons behind the pause. Whether it stems from creative rest, health concerns, or other undisclosed factors, readers remain hopeful for the manga’s eventual return.

As of now, no timeline has been provided for the manga’s return, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further updates. The series has become a cornerstone of modern fantasy manga, and its absence will undoubtedly leave a void in the community.

Fans of the popular anime series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? were met with unexpected news regarding the upcoming ninth episode of the fifth season. Due to unforeseen production circumstances, the episode’s original air date of November 29th, 2024, has been postponed to December 5th, 2024.

In the previous episode, Bell Cranel, our intrepid hero, realized that his feelings and memories weren’t mere illusions. Heeding the advice of Mama Mia, he stood firm in his beliefs. This newfound resolve led him to a fateful encounter with Ais Wallenstein, where they uncovered a shared past, buried deep within their memories.Meanwhile, Goddess Freya, frustrated by her failed attempts to sway Bell, appeared increasingly distressed. Hermes, the cunning god of commerce, seemed to have a plan of his own to resolve the growing turmoil in Orario. With the series reaching a critical juncture, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Danmachi Season 5 Episode 9.

To fill the void left by the delayed episode, a re-edited version of the OVA Is It Wrong to Try to Find a Hot Spring in Orario? -Bath God Forever- will be aired on November 29th, 2024. While this will provide some entertainment for fans, it’s clear that the delay of the main series episode is a disappointment.
