Fans of Classroom of the Elite have a reason to celebrate as the fourth season of the anime has been confirmed! The announcement was made during the MF Bunko J Summer School Festival 2024 event held in Japan today. This new season will adapt the Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 sequel light novels, bringing fresh challenges and developments to the story.
A teaser visual was also unveiled during the event, giving fans a first glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming season. However, further details, such as the release date and staff involved in the production, have not yet been disclosed.
The teaser visual depicts Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, now a second-year student, along with the new first-year students.
Based on the light novels by Shogo Kinugasa and Sunsaku Tomose, Classroom of the Elite Season 3 was chief-directed by Hiroyuki Hashimoto and Seiji Kishi and directed by Yoshihito Nishoji at Studio Lerche (Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, Given), with series composition by Hayato Kazano and character designs by Kazuaki Morita.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes an official English version of the Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 sequel novels and describes the story:As Ayanokouji and his classmates begin their second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, they’re greeted by a fresh gauntlet of exams and a fresh batch of rather unique first-year students. They’ll have to get to know each other quickly because the first special exam pairs the first-years with the second-years on a written test—with only the second-years facing expulsion if their team performs poorly! Worse yet? It seems one of the new first-years is also from the White Room. Can Ayanokouji avoid expulsion while sussing out the identity of this hidden foe?
