Animated once again by ufotable, Infinity Castle Part 1 marks the beginning of a trilogy adapting the final battles of Koyoharu Gotoge’s original manga. The story dives straight into the climactic fight between the Water Hashira, Tanjiro, and Upper Rank Three Akaza inside Muzan Kibutsuji’s twisted fortress.
Following its massive domestic success, the film is slated for international release between August 14 and September 25, 2025. This global rollout mirrors the scale of its Japanese premiere, ensuring that fans worldwide can experience the spectacle on the big screen.
Koyoharu Gotoge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, concluding with 23 volumes. The anime adaptation began in 2019, followed by the record-breaking Mugen Train film in 2020. Seasons 2, 3, and 4 continued to build the hype, with Season 4 (May–June 2024) setting the stage for the Infinity Castle saga.
With its breathtaking animation, emotional storytelling, and fierce battles, Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza Returns is already proving to be one of the year’s biggest cinematic events.
