The second season of I Parry Everything: What Do You Mean I’m the Strongest? I’m Not Even an Adventurer Yet! has been officially announced. The news was shared via the anime’s official website and X (formerly Twitter) account, following a special stage presentation at the Earth Star Novel 10th Anniversary Summer Festival. The announcement marks a significant milestone for the franchise, which continues to gain momentum since the conclusion of its first season.
Season 1 of I Parry Everything aired from July to September 2024 and was animated by Studio OLM. The series is currently available for streaming on HIDIVE. During the anniversary event, fans were treated to a celebratory stage featuring voice actors Daiki Hamano (Noor), Ryoko Maekawa (Lean), Nanako Mori (Ines), and Ayumu Murase (Rolo). The cast engaged the audience with interactive content, including quizzes and games themed around the series.
The main staff behind Season 1 included Hiroshi Fukuyama as director, Shigeru Murakoshi overseeing series composition, and Chikako Noma as character designer. The chief animation directors were Yuji Ikeda and Toshiaki Oohashi, while music was composed by BeauDamian and Tatsuhiko Saiki. Studio OLM handled animation production.
The anime is based on the light novel written by Nabeshiki with illustrations by Kawaguchi. Originally serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2019, the series was later picked up by Earth Star Entertainment in 2020. A manga adaptation by KRSG is also ongoing in Comic Earth Star magazine. J-Novel Club holds the English license for the light novel.
HIDIVE describes the story as follows:
The Kingdom of Clays faces a dire crisis: an assassination attempt has just been made on its own Princess Lynneburg, and now its neighboring countries eye the aftermath like starving vultures, plotting the Kingdom’s downfall. The ensuing conflict will shape the face of the continent for centuries to come…but Noor doesn’t have a clue about any of that!
Having freshly arrived at the royal capital after over a decade of rigorous, isolated training at his mountain home, he’s dead set on achieving his childhood dream of becoming an adventurer—even if the only skills he possesses are seemingly useless. Sure, Noor can “parry” thousands of swords in the span of a single breath, but everybody knows you need more than that to be an adventurer! Noor’s journey to fulfill his dream is about to begin, and while the road may be long and uncertain, one thing is clear: he’s not afraid of a little hard work.
With Season 2 now officially in production, fans can look forward to seeing more of Noor’s unconventional journey in a fantasy world where parrying might just be the strongest skill of all. Stay tuned for further updates, including the release window and returning staff details, as they are revealed.
