
The lineup for 2024 is getting better and better, with anime like Solo Leveling, Beasters and Kingdom being confirmed to air then and now the official release date of the adaptation of the hit manga series Kaiju No. 8 has been announced, along with a stunning trailer.
The Plot of “KAIJU NO. 8”
Monsters known as Kaiju have terrorized Japan and in response, a task called the Defense Force was created to combat them. After the task force deals with a Kaiju, “sweepers” come in and clean up after the mess caused by the fight.
Enter Kafka Hibino, a 32 year old sweeper who has tried to join the task force but failed a few times. He has given up on his dreams to fight Kaiju but his fire is sparked once again when the ambitious Leno Ichikawa joins his team.
Unfortunately, a Kaiju forces its way into Kafka’s mouth and into his body turning him into a half Kaiju half human. With new powers, Kafka now has a shot to achieve his dreams.
KAIJU NO. 8 Anime Release Date
“Kaiju No. 8” is slated to premiere in April 2024. Although the exact broadcast date and platform are yet to be revealed, given the immense popularity and hype surrounding the anime, further details are expected to surface sooner rather than later.

The Talented Cast and Production Team
Behind the scenes, Production I.G, renowned for their work on titles like Haikyuu!!, Kuroko no Basket, Great Pretenders, and their contributions to Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga, is spearheading the production of “Kaiju No. 8,” adapting Naoya Matsumoto’s manga for the screen.
Kafka will be voiced by Masaya Fukunishi who has worked on Haikyuu and most notably as Draken from Tokyo Revengers.
Wataru Katoh will voice Reno Ichikawa. He has made appearances on Ao Ashi and briefly worked on Love Is War.
Asami Seto is set the most famous addition to the cast as she will be voicing Mina Ashiro. Her track record is impeccable, voicing Kugisaki Nobara on Jujutsu Kaisen, working on Bungo Stray Dogs, Haikyuu!!, Oshi No Ko and many other top series.
While the full staff details remain under wraps, given the magnitude of this project, expectations are high for the involvement of industry veterans in key roles.
