
The highly anticipated Blue Box anime is set to premiere on October 3rd in Japan, has released a new trailer featuring the theme songs. Netflix will stream the series weekly starting from the same date, though release schedules may vary by region.
The trailer showcases the anime’s opening theme song, “Same Blue” by Official HIGE DANdism, and the ending theme song, “Teenage Blue” by Eve.
Alongside the trailer, a new visual for the anime was released, featuring key characters, including Chinatsu Kano, Taiki Inomata, Hina Chono, Kengo Haryu, and Kyou Kasahara.

Blue Box will officially stream on Netflix, with Studio Telecom Animation Film handling the animation. Yuichiro Yano is directing the series, while Miho Tanino serves as the character designer. Yuko Kakihara is responsible for the series composition.

Blue Box is based on the manga by Koji Miura, initially published as a one-shot in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020. Its regular serialization began in April 2021. VIZ Media is publishing the series in English. The story follows Taiki Inomata, a high school badminton player, who has a crush on Chinatsu Kano, a senior and star player of the basketball team. After a series of events, including Chinatsu temporarily moving in with Taiki’s family, their relationship deepens. The story blends sports and romance, focusing on Taiki’s quiet determination to grow as an athlete while nurturing his feelings for Chinatsu. It portrays a mix of adolescent romance and sportsmanship, where both characters chase their respective dreams while navigating their evolving relationship.
