Komi meets a boy while she spends her summer at her grandmother’s. The boy, Tadano, becomes friends with Komi and they start spending all their time together i.e. playing video games, eating out, etc. Spending time with Tadano helps Komi to overcome her shyness and social anxiety.

Sadly, this doesn’t last because the summer ends and Komi has to go back to her home. Most of us grew up experiencing summer flings, and Komi Can’t Communicate is also the same one with a bittersweet ending. This series has only 24 episodes and the second season has yet to be released.

2. Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku (2018)

This series shows what it is like for two adult otakus to maintain a relationship; they struggle to find a balance between their careers and romantic lives. These two adults include a 26-year-old yaoi fangirl, Narumi, and a gamer otaku, Hirotaka.

The girl accepts, however, she has a condition that they get married first. Nasa naturally agrees and the show leads to drama and tons of sweet romantic moments.
