Great news for “Tower of God” fans! The long-awaited release date for Tower of God Season 2 has been officially announced, and a teaser trailer has been unveiled during Crunchyroll’s Industry Panel at Anime NYC 2023.
After the anime’s debut in 2020, the second season was confirmed in July 2022. Now, fans can mark their calendars for a July 2024 release, adding excitement to the anticipation that has been building for over a year.
The teaser trailer, lasting 1 minute and 15 seconds, introduces new characters and reveals the specific Manhwa arc Season 2 will explore. Surprisingly, the trailer features only Manhwa panels, opting for a unique approach with no traditional animation.
Despite the trailer’s unconventional style, fans are relieved to finally have a confirmed release date. However, the absence of a comprehensive animated trailer, even after a year since the second season was announced, remains a point of curiosity and concern.
While the exact episode count for Tower of God Season 2 is still unknown, fans hope for a 2-core season with 24 or more episodes. The first season’s adaptation of the Manhwa up to chapter 80 received mixed reviews, with some expressing disappointment in the rushed pacing due to the limited episode count.
As the countdown to July 2024 begins, fans eagerly await further updates and a potential traditional animated trailer to enhance the excitement for the upcoming season of “Tower of God.”
