Boruto Manga Part 2: Timeskip Announcement and Sarada Character Design Revealed

boruto manga part 2

Boruto Chapter 78-80 took the anime community by storm, revealing one of the biggest plot twists in manga. The hype for the Boruto timeskip was at an all time high, and now the hype is even greater with the reveal of the character designs of some of the characters from Boruto Manga Part 2.

Ikemoto Mikio and Masashi Kishimito, the brilliant minds behind this manga, have made the decision to change the name from “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” to “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex,” effectively severing the link between the Naruto and Boruto series.

This change is logical, considering Naruto is no longer a central character, with Kawaki and Boruto now taking the spotlight and captivating fans.

Character designs for Kawaki, Boruto, and Sarada have been revealed and received tremendous feedback. In fact, numerous trending hashtags were dedicated to Boruto, even on the day a new One Piece chapter was published.

The response to Sarada’s design, in particular, has been incredible, with fans falling head over heels for the Uchiha girl. From her short hair to the Uchiha earrings and the new color scheme, fans went wild for her.

Although longer hair was expected, fans welcomed the new look and expressed gratitude to Ikemoto. Her new appearance reminded fans of all the past Uchiha and how gracefully they all donned the color red.

Boruto manga part 2 will return on August 21, 2023. It will be set a few years after Boruto and Sasuke’s departure from the village. If you didn’t know, Boruto is now a rogue ninja, framed by Eida for the murder of Naruto and Hinata, despite it being Kawaki who sealed them away. Sasuke is all he has left, and they leave the village with the determination to return one day.

The manga is published by Shueisha, and you can read it on the Viz Manga app.
