They are collaborating with the industry legend, Shinichiro Watanabe who directed Cowboy Bepop, Samurai Champloo and Carole & Tuesday. It seems Adult Swim are going all in on this new venture.

The storyline of ‘Lazarus,’ as revealed by Adult Swim, unfolds in the year 2052 during a period of unprecedented peace and prosperity across the globe.
This newfound harmony is attributed to the revolutionary drug called Hapuna, developed by Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner, which miraculously eradicates sickness and pain with seemingly no side effects. However, the utopian facade is shattered when Dr. Skinner mysteriously disappears after introducing Hapuna to the world.
