Also, the Manga circulation got a huge boost from the anime adaptation of the manga. Studio MAPPA, Shueisha, or any company related is yet to declare officially season 2 of Chainsaw Man. There is no announcement of the sequel being in production nor there is any official trailer whatsoever. So that leaves us wondering in a void filled with rumours and predictions.
James Hanson, a popular anime leaker stated that “The second cour already started how they release it is another question”. It should be mentioned that James Hanson has a record of accurate claims in the past. Adding to that, ChifuyuMatsun0 claimed in a tweet that the sequel will be out in 2024.
Fans have been seen flooding the comment section with their anticipations since. Judging the busy schedule of MAPPA studio with Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3, set to air this year, Chainsaw man is expected to return in 2024, if not delayed, unfortunately.
But these rumours/leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as the Chainsaw Man season 2 release date is not officially confirmed yet.
Chainsaw Man Remake Petition By Japanese Fans
What’s more interesting is that a Japanese fan started a petition demanding a redo of Chainsaw Man with a different director stating disappointment in its film-like making which completely neglects the manga’s magnitude and disregards the humor of the manga.
They also demanded a change in casting. The petition has already been signed by over 2000 votes and the deadline is set for December 21, 2022.
Chainsaw Man Season 2 Anime Plot: What To Expect?
Season 1 ended amid Public Safety Saga, there will be a continuation of the saga as we will see Denji’s growth over time. It goes without saying that, there will be a huge amount of gore, blood, and fleshes leaving the fans awes.
As of yet we only got to hear about the Gun Devil, but that’s all to that. Also, there is a character evolution of Makima that is still to be done.
