Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

Getou is in shock at the dead Amanai in front of him and the Toji who shot her. Angry at the fact that Gojo was dead, he summons his Cursed Spirit Rainbow Dragon and unleashes it on Toji. Toji is sent flying, but he is barely affected. Toji proceeds to explain his powers, how he has no cursed energy, and how he was able to get a sneak attack on Gojo despite him wielding the Six Eyes. He explains that revealing your technique to your opponent makes you more powerful.

Getou unleashes a barrage of attacks on Toji, but he dodges them all. Toji then proceeds to slice Rainbow Dragon in half and slashes Getou in his chest just when Getou thought he was about to win. Toji decides not to finish off Getou because his cursed spirits might be released if the master died.

Toji delivers the body of Amanai to the Star Religious Group and receives his payment for the work. He leaves the group’s headquarters, and lo and behold, there is Gojo Satoru alive and with a big grin on his face. He survived and is ready for round 2. He mastered how to use his Cursed Energy in the previous fight and survived thanks to that. Gojo is in absolute bliss and is enjoying the fight, which creeps out Toji.

The fight seems tied, mainly because Toji is aware of Gojo’s techniques. What he doesn’t know is that Gojo has another secret technique. He merges his two techniques, Red and Blue, to form Purple and fires it at Toji. Toji did not see it coming, and a majority of his left abdomen is blown away. Just as he is about to die, he tells Gojo that his son is about to join the Zenin Clan in 3 years, with no other instructions. He dies standing, and the episode ends.
