The movie is about Masamune, a third year middle school student who lives in a town where all exits have been closed because of an explosion at a steel mill. The explosion made time stop. In order to stop the world from being destroyed, the residents have to maintain a daily unchanging routine.

Cast and Staff

The director is an industry legend, Mari Okada, who has worked on Fate/Stay Night, Toradora, Darker than Black, and Lupin III. She has won many awards for her work as a screenwriter and storyboard artist, including the Best Animated Film at the Shanghai Film Festival and the 16th Kobe Animation Award.

It seems that Mappa has decided to retain many of the staff from previous projects, as they have hired Tadashi Hiramatsu as the assistant director. He has worked on Jujutsu Kaisen Movie 0, Banana Fish, and the recent Evangelion movie.

Familiar faces are also in the voice acting department, as Masamune will be voiced by Junya Enoki, the voice actor of Itadori from JJK. Mutsumi will be voiced by Reina Ueda, who has worked on Demon Slayer, MHA, Fruits Basket, and more. Itsumi will be voiced by Misaki Kuno, who has worked on 7 Deadly Sins as Hawk.

Mappa has a good track record of producing excellent movies, particularly the Jujutsu Kaisen movie, which shattered records in Japan. We can expect a quality movie again, as not only will Mappa be in charge of the production, but many big names are involved in this project.

We will publish more information as soon as it becomes available, so stay tuned to Anime Alert for breaking news on all things anime.
